Sheffield Lad - referral date November 2019

Hi my son in transgender and was referred to GIDS in 2019, when he was 9 year old, we have had no support from anywhere since then, he’s struggles with body dysmorphia, anxiety and panic attacks, the only support he has had it from myself and his Dad, we are not experts, but have had to navigate, name change, bullying at school, PE changing rooms, periods, binding all with no help from anyone, doctors and Camhs don’t help as they state that they are. Or properly trained… my son deserves better than this he should be enjoying his childhood not worrying about everything … as a parent it is disappointing, stressful and very worrying.
