TW: gender dysphoria mention, counselling

I’ve only been on their official waiting list since 2021 but with everything that needs to be done my gp refferal started back in Oct 2019. There’s no help for those who are on the waiting list and the help that they do offer is just pointing you in the direction of charity organisations that can’t give you the actual help you need. I was referred at 16 (I’m now 20) to a young persons counselling organisation whilst my gp argued with different clinics over age of refferal and my needs got ignored even then. I did 6 weeks of what should of been gender dysphoria counselling but spent 3/6 of them touching on how I might not be trans and the last 3 playing board games. Since then I haven’t been able to receive any help for mental health At current date I’ll be waiting 5 possibly 6 years for my initial appointment, pushing 7 years for my first hormone appointment and at this point I’ve given up hope on waiting to hear from them and have been looking at going private even if it means working extra jobs once I graduate Uni.
